The Luna County Historical Society operates entirely through the dedication of volunteers—local citizens who give their time and passion to preserving the rich heritage of Deming, the Mimbres Valley, and the broader Luna County region.
We house an extraordinary collection of historical artifacts, Mimbres pottery, military memorabilia, photographs, documents, and much more—across 25,000 square feet of exhibit space, including the historic 1916 National Guard Armory and the 19th-century Customs House.
